The Turkish Education Group

The Turkish Education Group (TEG) is a London-based charity and educational support service primarily focused on assisting the Turkish and Kurdish speaking communities, including refugees and asylum seekers. Established with the goal of advancing education and improving the quality of life, TEG provides a vital range of academic, social, and advice services. Their core mission is to empower community members to overcome barriers and play a full role in the multicultural society of the UK.

TEG offers a variety of educational and support services targeted at different age groups and needs. For adults, they run ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and IT classes, as well as Turkish literacy courses for women. For children, they operate weekend and after-school clubs, offering supplementary schooling in subjects like Maths and Science, including GCSE preparation. The organisation is also a key provider of impartial advice and support on matters like employment, British Citizenship, and health.

Based at an address in the Islington area, TEG also maintains a focus on broader cultural and social enrichment. They organise cultural events, seminars, and excursions, such as family day trips to museums or the seaside, to foster community cohesion and cultural exchange. By providing both essential educational classes and comprehensive advice, The Turkish Education Group aims to holistically support the Turkish-speaking community's successful integration and development within the UK.
