Rengin Women’s Choir and Feryal Öney set for major concert in Hackney

A significant cultural event for London's Turkish community is scheduled for Sunday, April 26, 2026, as the Rengin Women’s Choir prepares to join forces with celebrated Turkish folk singer Feryal Öney for a major concert in Hackney. The performance, titled “The Fraternity of Peoples and the Colours of Folk Songs,” will take place at the EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) Theatre and is being presented by GIDKER. 

Rengin Women’s Choir, founded in North London in 2020, has quickly established itself as an important cultural force, using music not only to celebrate cultural diversity but also to strengthen women’s solidarity within the Turkish/Kurdish diaspora, particularly advocating for women’s rights and combatting social isolation.
