London has once again been crowned the World’s Best City, marking the eleventh consecutive year it has topped the global rankings. The announcement was made following the release of the 2026 World's Best Cities report by Resonance Consultancy, an analysis that ranks over 270 global metropolises based on a wide range of criteria. The British capital secured the top spot ahead of New York, which placed second, and Paris, which took the third position.
This consistent success is based on London’s exceptional performance across the ranking’s three main pillars: Livability, Lovability, and Prosperity. London achieved the highest score globally in the Prosperity index, reflecting its strong economic value, high educational attainment, and superior airport connectivity.
It also ranked second in Lovability, which evaluates the city's rich culture, renowned culinary scenes, world-class attractions, and robust social media engagement, and third in Livability, which covers aspects like walkability, nature and parks, and public transport infrastructure.
For the Turkish community in London, this designation reaffirms the city's status as a leading global centre for business, education, and culture, ensuring continued opportunities and a dynamic environment. The city's immense diversity and global connectivity, which are key factors in the ranking, are features that are deeply valued by the diaspora. Laura Citron, CEO of London & Partners, commented on the news, stating that London is a "city of constant reinvention," and it is this commitment to ongoing growth that allowed the city to retain its title.
